The Cool Girl Custom Process

Interested in custom but not sure how it works? Here's what you can expect:

It all starts with a consultation. We'll usually set this up via Zoom, but if you're local we're happy to talk over coffee at our favorite spot in town! During this meeting we'll cover all the basics: what your project is, who it's for, and your initial ideas. We'll talk color palette, stone and metal preferences, and budget. Most importantly, we'll get to the heart of what makes this project special to you! A custom piece of jewelry is important, and we value the trust you're placing in us; we want to make sure we pull as many fun and meaningful details from our conversations with you as we can to make your piece unique!

After our chat, we'll get to work. Every Cool Girl Custom piece starts out with hand drawn sketches. Depending on how clear your vision is from the start, you may get one sketch back to review, or several to show some different options. We count on you to be vocal here; tell us what you love about the design and what you don't. Once everyone is happy with the drawing, we'll take a deposit and begin the next steps.

You'll receive photos and videos of a 3-D rendering next; this is the time to make any more changes, because soon the molten magic begins!

The piece is cast in your metal of choice. We work in 925 Sterling Silver, 14kt and 18kt white, yellow, and rose gold, and very rarely, platinum. Stones are set, the piece is polished and checked for quality control and you'll receive photos of the finished piece with your final invoice before it's sent on it's way to you.

Please note that production timelines can be influenced by many factors, some that are outside of our control. We promise to always be upfront with you if any delays occur as soon as we're aware of them. We suggest allowing 6-8 weeks from initial contact to having the piece in hand, especially if you're giving it as a gift, but it's never too soon to reach out to us if you have a project in mind!
